(Busch Stadium) After a rain afternoon, the weather finally cooperated and allowed for Albert Pujols and the Los Angeles Angels to take batting practice on the field at Busch Stadium today. This was the first time in the series the team had been able to do so. After taking his cuts in the cage, Pujols treated fans to an extended autograph session as he worked his way along the line of people on the field, but also stepped into the green seats to meet even more.
Last night, Albert Pujols hit his 111th career home run in Busch Stadium and passed Jim Thome for the all-time lead in interleague home runs (65). He also passed Pete Rose for 8th all-time with 5,754 total bases.
Pujols is again hitting fifth for the Angels today as they close out their series against St. Louis.
