Shannon Loves “My Cardinals”

Born and raised in St. Louis, Mike Shannon cut right to the chase during his acceptance speech into the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame on Saturday.

“A guy from St. Louis, born and reared here, I think this is my city, my state, and my Cardinals,” stated Shannon, who played eight seasons with the team before moving to the broadcast booth. “This is a wonderful city, a wonderful organization, and I am so proud to be a part of it for 57 years.”
